Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Tagular collects, uses, stores and shares information when you use Tagular, create an account, purchase or access apps, use App Plans or subscriptions, or contact Tagular.

Effective date: September 30, 2026 · Version: 1.0

1. Scope of this Privacy Policy

This Policy applies to personal information processed by Tagular in connection with the Tagular store, accounts, apps, App Plans, subscriptions and related services.

Independent third-party services used by Tagular may process information under their own privacy policies. This Policy does not replace the privacy policies of services Tagular does not control.

2. Information we collect

The information Tagular may collect depends on how you use the service and may include:

  • Account information such as your name, username, email address and account identifiers.
  • Purchase, subscription, App Plan, App Credit, Extra App Credit, app-selection, usage-entitlement and transaction records.
  • Information about apps connected to your account.
  • Communications you send to Tagular, including support or privacy requests.
  • Records of Terms or policy acknowledgements, including document versions and acceptance timestamps.
  • Copyright, trademark or other intellectual-property reports and related compliance actions.
  • Technical, security and usage information generated when you use the service.
  • Information necessary to connect supported third-party services.

Tagular aims to collect information reasonably necessary to operate, secure and improve the service and provide the features you choose to use.

3. How we use information

Tagular may use personal information to:

  • Create, authenticate and maintain user accounts.
  • Process and record purchases and recurring subscriptions.
  • Provide app access, usage entitlements and other purchased access.
  • Operate App Plans, including plan status, selected apps, App Credit capacity and usage, Extra App Credits and 7-day app locks.
  • Provide customer and technical support.
  • Prevent fraud, abuse, unauthorized access and security incidents.
  • Maintain, troubleshoot and improve Tagular.
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce Tagular's Terms.
  • Document legal or policy acceptances and intellectual-property compliance actions.
  • Communicate important account, transaction, subscription, security or service information.

4. Account information

When you register for Tagular, we process information required to create and manage your account. Your email address may be used for authentication, account communications, purchase and subscription messages, security notices and support.

Passwords should be stored using secure password-hashing methods rather than as readable plain text. Tagular will never need you to send your password by email.

You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure.

5. Purchases, subscriptions, App Plans and digital access

When you make a purchase or start a subscription, Tagular may maintain information needed to identify your account, the product or plan, selected access option, transaction status and resulting entitlement.

For App Plans, Tagular may store your active plan, selected apps, App Credit capacity and usage, Extra App Credits, selection times, lock-expiry times, removed or replaced selections, subscription status and related identifiers needed to provide plan access.

For usage-based apps, Tagular may store available or consumed usage entitlements and related access information so the service can determine whether an app action is available to your account.

Transaction and entitlement records may need to be retained after access ends where reasonably necessary for accounting, fraud prevention, dispute handling, legal compliance or historical purchase records.

6. Payment providers

Tagular uses third-party payment infrastructure, including Stripe where applicable, to process purchases and recurring subscriptions.

Payment providers may collect information directly from you under their own terms and privacy policies. This can include payment-card information, billing information, identity or verification information and other data needed to process a payment.

Tagular does not need your full card number or card security code for ordinary support. Never send this information to Tagular by email.

Tagular may receive limited payment-related information such as Stripe customer, checkout, payment, invoice and subscription identifiers, payment status, billing status or other information necessary to provide and reconcile purchases, App Plans, Extra App Credits and subscriptions.

7. Technical, security and usage data

When you access Tagular, the service or its providers may process technical information such as IP address, browser type, device information, requested pages, timestamps, session information and error or security logs.

This information may be used to keep users signed in, protect accounts, detect abuse, diagnose technical problems and understand service performance and reliability.

8. Cookies, similar technologies and advertising

Tagular may use cookies, sessions or similar technologies necessary for authentication, account security, preferences, shopping-cart functions and other core service functionality.

Tagular may also use advertising, analytics or other non-essential technologies on parts of the service. Where required by applicable law, Tagular will provide the relevant notice or consent mechanism before using non-essential tracking technologies.

Advertising or analytics providers may process information according to their own privacy policies when their services are enabled. Paid or account-based areas may differ from public areas in whether advertising is displayed.

Your browser may allow you to block or delete cookies. Blocking cookies required for authentication or core functionality may prevent parts of Tagular from working correctly.

9. When information may be shared

Tagular does not need to sell personal information in order to operate the service. Personal information may be disclosed where reasonably necessary to provide Tagular or comply with legal obligations.

  • Payment providers used to process purchases and subscriptions.
  • Hosting, infrastructure, storage, email, analytics, advertising or security providers supporting Tagular.
  • Professional advisers where reasonably necessary.
  • Authorities or other parties where disclosure is required by law or valid legal process.
  • Parties involved in investigating fraud, abuse, security threats or violations of Tagular's Terms.

Tagular aims to limit disclosures to information reasonably relevant to the purpose for which it is shared.

10. Data retention

Tagular retains personal information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, including operating accounts, purchases, subscriptions and App Plans; maintaining transaction and entitlement records; meeting legal obligations; resolving disputes; preventing fraud; and enforcing agreements.

Different categories of information may require different retention periods. Deleting an account does not necessarily require immediate deletion of every transaction, accounting, security, entitlement or legal record associated with previous activity.

11. Data security

Tagular uses reasonable technical and organizational measures intended to protect personal information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse or alteration.

No internet service can guarantee absolute security. Users should use strong, unique passwords and take reasonable precautions to protect their accounts and devices.

If Tagular becomes aware of a personal-data breach requiring notification under applicable law, affected users and/or relevant authorities will be notified as required.

12. Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live and the law that applies, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection or portability of eligible personal information, and to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.

Some requests may be limited where Tagular has a legal or legitimate requirement to retain information, such as transaction, fraud-prevention, accounting or legal records. Tagular may need to verify your identity before fulfilling a privacy request.

European and EEA users

Where the GDPR or similar European data-protection rules apply, processing must have an appropriate legal basis. Depending on the activity, this may include performance of a contract, compliance with a legal obligation, legitimate interests or consent.

You may also have the right to lodge a complaint with the data-protection authority responsible for your jurisdiction.

13. Children's privacy

Tagular is not intended to be used in violation of laws governing children's personal information or contractual capacity. Users must meet any minimum age or consent requirements applicable to them in their jurisdiction.

If Tagular learns that personal information from a child has been collected in a manner that requires deletion or parental authorization under applicable law, Tagular will take appropriate steps.

14. International processing

Tagular and the service providers used to operate it may process information in countries other than the country where you live.

Where applicable data-protection law requires safeguards for international transfers of personal information, Tagular will use an appropriate lawful transfer mechanism or work with providers that maintain required safeguards.

15. Third-party services

Tagular may contain links to or interact with independent websites and services, including payment, hosting, storage, API, analytics or advertising providers. Those services have their own privacy practices and Tagular does not control how independent third parties process information.

Where an app uses an external service, information necessary for that functionality may be processed by the relevant provider as described by Tagular or that provider where applicable.

16. Changes to this Privacy Policy

Tagular may update this Privacy Policy as the service, data practices, providers or legal requirements change.

The effective date at the top identifies the current version. Material changes may also be communicated through Tagular or another appropriate method where required.
